For years, the KWPN has granted acknowledged status to studbooks ranked in the top ten of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) over multiple years. Offspring of stallions approved by a KWPN-acknowledged studbook qualify for Register A and, upon meeting specific criteria, are accepted into the KWPN studbook. We are plesed to inform that 5-year-old Malopolska Mare Birma by Emetyt, out of Biesiada by First des Termes, bred by Walewice State Stud and owned by Andreas Gygax (CH), took 4th place in her age category in French Eventing Championships for Young Horses 2012. Birma has 37,74% Arabian blood; therefore, according to CIAA regulations she represents Anglo-Arabian breed. Read the full entry “Polish mare successful again” »
Malopolska mare Birma by Emetyt, out of Biesiada by First des Termes, bred by Walewice State Stud and owned by Andreas Gygax (CH) successfully competes in eventing in France. With her rider Thomas Carlil she is now on 12th place among over 400 5-year-olds in French eventing ranking. She is also the best Anglo-Arabian mare!

The essence of horse industry and best practices related to its development were discussed on 19-20 January 2012 at an international forum during the conference organised by Polish Equestrian Federation (PEF) and European Equestrian Federation (EEF) within the framework of the project: “Human Resources for Horse Industry in Mazovia Region”, co-financed by the European Social Fund. 113 participants from 22 countries – mostly all over Europe – from Portugal and Great Britain to Russia, Turkey and Armenia came to Warsaw to attend the conference. Four subjects were presented: “Development of Equestrian Sports”, “Education in Horse Industry”, “Horse Breeding for Equestrian Sports” and “Financing and Cooperation”.
